How should I answer the check-in?
Think back over the past 24 hours and choose the strongest intensity you experienced for each feeling. This is not a question about how often it happened or how long it lasted. Answer all 20 items to submit; you can also come back to an unfinished check-in.
How is the positivity ratio calculated?
Positive feelings rated “Moderate” or stronger count as positive items. Negative feelings rated “A little” or stronger count as negative items. The positivity ratio is the positive item count divided by the negative item count, not a ratio of total scores.
If no negative items count, the divisor is set to 1. If neither group has any counted items, no range interpretation is shown. There is no perfect score. Consider the result alongside what happened that day and your entries over time.
Can I write a diary without a check-in?
Yes. Check-ins and diary entries are saved separately. Open today’s diary from Home, or select an earlier date in the calendar. Check the save status before leaving the editor. Deleting a check-in does not delete that day’s diary.
Does iCloud provide backup or live sync?
The app provides backup and restore, not live synchronization. Open the iCloud backup page in Settings to create a backup, enable automatic backup, or restore a saved backup.
Automatic backup depends on the app being able to run and iCloud being available. It is not guaranteed to run continuously in the background. After saving important entries, check the latest backup date and status.
How do I restore my entries on a new phone?
Create a backup on your original device and check that it has completed. On the new device, sign in to the same Apple Account, enable iCloud Drive, install the app and open Settings → iCloud Backup. Wait for available backups to load, then select one to restore.
Restore adds entries for dates missing on this device and keeps existing local entries. Check-ins and diaries are merged separately. Unfinished check-ins, reminder times and app preferences are not included.
Why is my backup missing or failing?
Check that both devices use the same Apple Account, iCloud Drive is enabled, the app is allowed to use iCloud, your connection is available and you have enough iCloud storage. Keep the app open for a while, then refresh the backup list.
Keep the original device’s app and data until you have confirmed a usable backup. We cannot access your private iCloud backups or recover unbacked-up entries that have been deleted from the device.
Does deleting an entry delete it from old backups?
No. Turning off automatic backup also leaves existing backups in place. The app currently cannot delete an individual iCloud backup. Use Apple’s iCloud storage management tools to remove the app’s cloud data if you no longer need those copies.
Why are diary previews hidden?
Previews are hidden by default to reduce how much diary text is visible on Home and results pages. Tap the eye button to reveal or hide previews; other pages follow the same current visibility state. You can change the default in Settings. Opening a diary displays its full text. Hiding previews is not a password lock.
Why did my daily reminder not appear?
Check the reminder switch and time in the app, then check notification permission in iOS Settings. Focus modes, Scheduled Summary and other system settings may affect delivery or display. Reminders are scheduled on your device without server push notifications.
How do I change the language?
New installations follow the system language. You can choose another language in Settings. The app supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
What does a support purchase unlock? Why is the currency different?
Support purchases are optional, repeatable, one-time tips. They do not renew automatically, unlock features or provide physical goods. Check-ins, diaries and trends remain available without paying.
Prices and currency follow your App Store account’s country or region, not the app’s language. Apple’s purchase confirmation shows the final charge. Purchases require iOS 15 or later and product availability in your storefront.
What if I cancel a purchase, it fails, or I need a refund?
Cancelling a purchase does not affect your app features. If the app says payment has not been verified, check your Apple purchase history before trying again.
To request a refund, visit Apple’s refund page. Apple determines refund eligibility and handles the request.
